Slow School Goes Off the Grid!
About the event
Slow School is taking a day trip to rural Victoria, touring an off-the-grid home in Nagambie!
Donna and James Winter-Irving are graciously opening their off-grid strawbale home to the Slow School community for an afternoon, to give us insight into the ways Victorian rural communities are embracing environmental responsibility and tackling important social issues.
Join us for a tour of the Winter-Irvings’ home, followed by a Q&A session, lunch and a walking tour of the town.
Please bring a dish to share with everyone for lunch, as well as a picnic blanket or chairs to sit on (plates and cutlery will be provided). No plastic or waste – any waste must be taken home and cannot be left behind.
Everyone is encouraged to car pool, and all are welcome at this family-friendly event including partners, children and guests.
